- Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
-
Absolutely not. In fact, most of our customers prefer not to be home when we clean! You may be home if you like, but we do not require it as long as we have secure entry. We will make personal and confidential arrangements with you on how to gain access to your house.
Most customers either provide us a key or hide one on the premises on house cleaning day, or give us the digital (garage) code to enter the home. If we are unable to gain access to your house for a regularly scheduled cleaning, and you are unable to return home in order to provide access to us, we must charge you the full price of the cleaning – please understand our housekeepers are paid for the work that they do and we will not be able to provide them with another cleaning assignment at such short notice therefore they will be out of pocket. - What should I do about my security/alarm system on house cleaning day?
-
If you have a security system, please give access instructions to your Maid EZ office. Some customers establish a guest or temporary code for Maid EZ service professionals so they have access on house cleaning day.
- What if I accidentally lock the service professionals out on my cleaning day?
-
Just as with rescheduling fees, if you lock our team members out on house cleaning day, you will likely be assessed a lock-out fee at the rate of $60 per labor-hour on a pro-rata basis for the time they are waiting to be let in. Should you be unable to return in order to let them in then you will be charged the full price of the cleaning. We want to help you avoid incurring these additional fees!
- Do I have to do anything before the cleaning staff arrive?
-
In order for our team members to tackle their cleaning assignment, we ask that you pick up clothing, toys and other household items. Our team members will not know where your personal items belong and we prefer that they not go into your closets or drawers to put things away.
